Abstract Silver Heart Pendant

$195.00

Description

This Abstract Silver Heart Pendant features a 10mm Garnet cabochon.  First, we began creating this pendant by piercing the shape from 18 gauge .935 Argentium Sterling Silver.  Second, we set the Garnet cabochon.  For the setting, we used a 30 gauge .935 Argentium Sterling Silver bezel.  Third, we created the bail for the pendant.  To do this, we wire wrapped a Garnet bead.  Fourth, we enhanced the pendant with hand stippling and a blackened patina.  Then, we wanted something personal for the wearer.  So, our fifth step was to add a hand scribed unique design on the back of the pendant.

The Abstract Silver Heart Pendant measures 3″ x 1″.  Our .935 Argentium Sterling Silver chains are sold separately.  Please click here “Chains” to view the selection.

This Abstract Silver Heart Pendant would be a lovely addition to your jewelry collection.  The Garnet cabochon is a gorgeous deep red.  Red is a very versatile color.  Therefore, it will complement many of the colors in your wardrobe.

We sign every piece of our jewelry on the back.  We stand behind our workmanship. You are welcome to use our “Contact Us” form to ask questions to inquire about possible commissions.

An English professor of silversmithing invented Argentium sterling silver  in 1996.   Traditional sterling silver has a pure silver content of 92.5%.  In contrast, Argentium has a pure silver content of 93.5%.  A small amount of the element germanium replaces some of the copper. As a result, this new sterling silver is highly tarnish resistant.  It is also more workable and harder than traditional sterling silver.  Many people who are allergic to traditional sterling silver can wear Argentium sterling silver without a problem.
